Join the Census

Researchers working in sports statistics, sports analytics, or closely related methodological areas are encouraged to contact the project team to be considered for inclusion in future updates of the Census.

To be eligible, researchers should generally meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a current academic affiliation (university, research institute, or equivalent academic institution).
  • Have completed their highest degree (undergraduate, master's, or doctoral studies).
  • Demonstrate a sustained research interest in sports statistics, sports analytics, or related quantitative methods applied to sport.
  • Show evidence of relevant scientific activity through publications, research projects, methodological contributions, or participation in recognized research groups.
  • Have sports statistics or sports analytics as one of their main research lines.

Researchers from statistics, data science, biostatistics, epidemiology, operations research, computer science, mathematics, sports science, and related disciplines may be included, provided that sports statistics constitutes a significant component of their research activity.

The Census is continuously updated and aims to provide an inclusive and representative overview of the international sports statistics community.
