The Sports Statistics Researchers Census is an international initiative aimed at identifying and connecting researchers working in sports statistics, sports analytics and related disciplines.
The project combines expert identification, bibliometric searches and direct researcher participation to create a dynamic and continuously evolving resource for the scientific community.
This section provides access to the anonymized census database of researchers identified through the Global Census of Sports Statistics Researchers.
Use the search box to explore institutions, countries and researcher characteristics represented in the Census.
Researcher names are currently withheld. A future version of the Census is expected to include public researcher profiles, subject to obtaining the appropriate consent from participating researchers.
The Census includes researchers from universities, research centres and other organizations around the world.

Researchers working in sports statistics, sports analytics, or closely related methodological areas are encouraged to contact the project team to be considered for inclusion in future updates of the Census.
To be eligible, researchers should generally meet the following criteria:
Researchers from statistics, data science, biostatistics, epidemiology, operations research, computer science, mathematics, sports science, and related disciplines may be included, provided that sports statistics constitutes a significant component of their research activity.
The Census is continuously updated and aims to provide an inclusive and representative overview of the international sports statistics community.
